The ‘Outdoor Learning’ course, a significant offering within the Erasmus teacher training program, is designed for educators who are passionate about integrating the natural environment into their teaching practice. This course explores the diverse ways in which outdoor settings can be used as powerful learning environments, enriching the educational experience for students of all ages.

Outdoor learning encompasses a wide range of educational activities that take place outside the traditional classroom setting. It provides students with the opportunity to engage with the natural world, offering hands-on experiences and fostering a deeper connection with the environment. This course covers the theoretical foundations of outdoor learning, including its benefits for student development, learning outcomes, and overall well-being.

Participants will explore a variety of outdoor learning approaches, such as experiential learning, environmental education, adventure education, and place-based learning.
